Agrozootechnical Farm Pietroiu: Located in Borcea, Călărași County, Pietroiu Farm is a true agricultural treasure with a highly productive alfalfa crop in an irrigated area. We use high-yield alfalfa varieties from international leaders such as Corteva, Maisadour, and Semillas Fito, ensuring superior quality and high yields.
Transport and Processing: After cutting, alfalfa is transported using specialized self-loading equipment to maintain freshness and quality.
Each green crop is fed into the drying cylinder and passed through an advanced homogenizer. This system allows us to precisely control temperature and speed, ensuring that our products always meet our high standards.
Technical Aspects:
Drying and dehydration process: Alfalfa is uniformly dried, reducing moisture to 12%-13%.
Cooling and Pressing: After drying, the alfalfa goes through a cooling and pressing system that maintains a constant temperature. This essential step helps preserve the quality of the fiber and the high protein content.
Dehydrated alfalfa is available as a finished product in two forms:
Bales, with three levels of quality:
Pellets, with a diameter of 6 mm, containing a protein level ranging from 12% to 16%, with a maximum moisture content of 10%.
